It is tough to get out of recliners, but there is some technique to it. Get your heels as far back as you possibly can and lean as far forward as possible before you try to rise.

I stuck to the sofa but if you slide as far forward as you can before rising should be ok. getting out of bed was a definite ROLL

My Granny Ada Blanche, may she rest in peace, had a saying " The Good Lord didn't ever make an itch, he didn't make a scratcher to fit it!" Translation- there is always an answer if you search for it.
Sorry this is a weird question but it takes a lot of muscle to get out of my big and tall recliner now.
I was just wondering if that will be dangerous post-op ? What precautions should I take ? Has anyone else been through this ?
