Approved frozen meals

Recommended Posts

I was looking if anyone can tell me which approved frozen meals you all eat when too busy to cook. I am recommitting to diet and am waiting for a rerun cal from my nutritionist. In the mean time I thought I would come back to this community and they back to using my tool properly! Thanks for any suggestions of approved and favorite frozen meals!

If I do frozen (I keep a few at work) I use the Healthy Choice Cafe steamers, Simply steamers, and Power-Bowls. My Nutritionist likes the ones with low sodium and low added sugars. I can't even finish a bowl so the nutrition info will be less. My favorite is the Homestyle chicken and Potatoes or Chicken Vegetable Stir-fry , I usually eat the Protein & veggies first and leave most of the starch behind. Check them out Cafe Steamers, Simply Steamers and Power-bowls.

Also these are good in a bind as well. Nice thing about these are most have good Protein and shelf life, no fridge needed. I keep a few at work as well. that way I'm never out of something, Hormel COMPLEATS. These are a bit high in sodium so watch out. I can usually only eat half. I get them for about $2-3 at Walmart.

On days you do cook, make a double or triple batch and freeze in individual portions. For example, I made ricotta bake last night. I doubled the recipe and baked it in an pan that cooks each one individually. So I have 8 individual ricotta bakes - 6 of them frozen for later. And I made some black bean Soup and froze a bunch in 1/2 c. batches. Crustless quiche works well, as does lentil soup. It helps that I have a vacuum sealer, so the frozen food lasts longer. I don't always have time to cook, but I almost always have something in the freezer that I can grab and take with me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
