I’m starting to get excited and nervous, first appointment today. I scheduled all the other appointments with the required drs. If all goes well will be having surgery end of February beginning of March. I am looking forward to be able to go down the stairs without my knees or back aching.

It will go faster than you think.
I started my journey in October and I can't believe that I am scheduled to have my surgery on the 29th.

I am looking forward to the same thing as you.....strengthening my back and legs enough where they do not hurt.

So have you guys had your first appointments by now? If so, do you like your doctors, do you think you will be able to work with them? Does everybody have to fulfill the 6 months of preparation orvarevsone of you on a faster track?

I only have to do 3-month supervised diet and I saw my doctor on 1/10/2019 for the first time. My insurance doesn't have any waiting period but the doctor I picked has the 3 month supervised diet. I do like this facility due to they have everything in-house, psych, dietitian, cardio and they have a lifelong program that stands by you before and after surgery. I should be able to have surgery in April so fingers crossed...

I really like my dr and PA. I have to fulfill the 6 months for insurance but that just means it will put surgery in June for my birthday.

So far I really like the surgeon very down to earth and everyone at his office has been wonderful, I am going tomorrow to meet with the dietician and then they will submit for approval. So hopefully I will find out a date soon after.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
