I was just thinking about having to buy holiday gifts and paying to travel all over creation to visit family members. That made me think about being totally broke and what I would do if I suddenly became rich!

If money were no object, I would give money to charities, home school my son, get plastic surgery, and travel to fabulous locations like Hawaii, Alaska, and Australia (to start)!

Anyone want to play along? Then finish this thought:

If money were no object...

I agree on giving to charities....100%

THen buy a house at the beach

A nice SUV....I like the Mini-Hummers...

Lots of clothes and shoes and bags for the entire family....

and last but not least...TRAVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If money were no object i'd...

pay to have magic mountain all to myself and my closest frineds for a day.

I would purchase all of the man-made islands that make up the USA in "The World" Dubai

Create a charity that would open up bariatric and cosmetic surgery to those who are less fortunate at the rate of one package a month.

There are too many things to list...

If money were no object...

1 I would have maids and a chef to cook me diet meals so I'd never have to be in the kitchen (or grocery store!)

2 I'd get my art degree and paint all day

3 Lots of traveling

4 A private trainer to carve off more fat

5 New clothes from great stores

If money were no object, I'd have my own TV show where I lay in bed eating bonbons & sipping cosmopolitans giving out fabulous prizes to the most clever/unique/interesting/funny people off the street. Anyone could try out by just waiting in line. I'd give out pedicures to the ugliest feet and always have a pet of the day in bed with me eating bacon out of my secret pocket. We'll go on location to fabulous tropical islands.

I would:

Hire a personal chef and trainer

Quite my job and become (eventually) a personal trainer

Give to charity

Sell our house and buy a house big enough for our whole extended family

Hire a dog sitter (6 dogs)

Get a pilot's license

Get a twin engine plane

College money for kids (5 kids)

If money were no object, I would throw out all the schedules and alarm clocks!

I would travel, and spend time in each place absorbing the culture.

I would take care of family.

I would have a huge menagerie.

And a personal trainer/masseur.

And I'd still have fun!

If money were no object....

1. I would open up my own animal shelter, where dogs went through intense training before being put up for adoption, that way they would make a perfect family pet and never end up back at a shlter

2. I would travel around the world, by buying tickets to random places at random times, no destination in mind, just wing it

3. I would give money to the agencies that are trying to enforce animal protection laws

4. I would have better boobs! :)

5. My house car and lifestyle would be as eco friendly as possible

6. I would be able to pay Johnny Depp to take me out on a date in his pirate costume! (HOTT!:D)

7. I would "accidentally" drop money on the ground, just to see how honest people were!

8. I would pay Oriental fishermen more money than what they get for shark fins to stop killing the sharks

9. I'd totally buy everyone on here all the plastic surgery thier skinny butts desired!

10. I would actually see what it felt like to spend money on a wardrobe, without feeling guilty.

Man o Man, but I am broke!:cry

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
