revision - band to sleeve - how are you doing?

Hey everyone, I had gastric sleeve revision surgery over 6 months ago and I have lost almost 40 pounds. I still have 20 to lose to get to goal, although I am happy to finally being able to squeeze into most of my skinny clothes. As you know, revision surgery patients lose at a slower pace, but I wanted to see how I was doing compared to other revisioners! Please tell me your stats!!

Not sure it's healthy to compare. Everyone is different. There are too many factors that come into play when we're talking about weight loss. Personally, I'm OK with the slow weight loss. Would I like it to be faster? Certainly, but I accept the consequences of the fact that I'm probably more relaxed with my diet plan than most. I feel great, my clothes fit better, I have more energy and ambition. I'm just all around in a better place, and isn't THAT what it's all about? Health and happiness?

If you must compare: I had gastric sleeve revision surgery about a month after you. I've lost 40 lbs since surgery.

Not to harp on the not comparing theme, but our experiences may be different. I didn't have a direct revision. I had my lap band out in 2009 and tried to go it alone. I was doing well maintaining until I had some major life events that had a devastating effect on my waistline. I also noticed that my starting weight was much higher than yours.

My revision was on August 17. I have lost about 18 pounds. I am still learning how to eat correctly with my sleeve. For example for the past few days I have not felt well, kind of sick to my stomach. I realized that although I am only eating about 4 ounces at a time I am still over eating. Today I ate less ounces at a time and things felt much better. l had lost most my weight with the band before it failed and luckily for me I had my revision before I gained too much back. My revision weight was and I am about at 164. I am about 5'1.5. I that 18 pounds has made the world of difference in how I feel about myself. I still am and probably always will need to use the Genepro protein because I am not much of a meat or egg person. In saying that I am trying to consume less carbs. So right now I am focusing on changing my diet. I am not on a diet I am just logging everything so I can see what I eat impacts how I feel and the cravings. I am very happy with my decision to not have the bypass over the sleeve and hope I will never need to take that step.

Doing okay. I have slipped a little. I am about 16 pounds away from my goal. Asked to be on Lomaira again to help with my mid day hunger. It's a tool, not a solution. The hardest thing for me to learn. Keep on going!

My revision was on July 24th I have lost 26.8 lbs and am 14 lbs away from my first goal.
My revision surgery was on May 24th. I have lost 52lbs. I’m 19lbs from my goal. Still learning about and adjusting to my new life!

I had my sleeve revision on October 10th. While in the hospital, I had a weight gain of 8 pounds from IV fluids. After being home for 2 days, I am back to my pre-surgery weight. Now the true weight loss begins. :)
