  1. Hey everyone, I had gastric sleeve revision surgery over 6 months ago and I have lost almost 40 pounds. I still have 20 to lose to get to goal, although I am happy to finally being able to squeeze into most of my skinny clothes. As you know, revision surgery patients lose at a slower pace, but I wanted to see how I was doing compared to other revisioners! Please tell me your stats!!

    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

I'm doing okay. I have lost 40 pounds. I am a revision surgery from band to sleeve. I have had some beers and some cocktails recently and also have cheated a few times on my food plan but I ate in smaller amounts than I would have. I'd like to drop another 20 pounds but I'm fitting into a lot of my skinny clothes again so that's encouraging. I try to walk 10,000 steps five times per week.

    Carbs in vitamins

Do you include the carbs from your daily vitamins in your daily macros total? My vitamins alone are 14 carbs!

    Anyone have a revision?

I’m feeling pretty good. I really have to plan my daily food to make sure I don’t go overboard with the carbs! I’m trying to stay under 50 carbs a day. I’m getting around 750 calories a day in. It few like a struggle to get all the water in but I manage. Many days I struggle with the motivation to get up and exercise. My goal is 10,000 steps a day and I probably hit that four days a week right now and the other days between 4000 and 8000 steps. The good news is I am down a little over 10 pounds since surgery. Just 30 more pounds to go until goal.

Change in Amount I Can Eat

God I pray I would not feel hunger! Congratulations on the weight loss!

    Anyone have a revision?

I had the sleeve in 2006. I had some success but learned to eat around the band and gained enough back to want revision surgery. I’m 5 weeks post op with the sleeve. I don’t feel restricted like many of the sleevers who did not have revision. There is some but not like with my band. I’m only down 8 lbs since surgery but only have 32 pounds until I reach goal so weight loss is expected to be slow. My advice to you is figure out what motivates you to stay on plan, follow the plan, get your exercise, and log EVERYTHING! Head hunger is a b***h!
  7. I’m searching for a good nutritionist in the Phoenix Arizona area. I need help and I’m not satisfied with the nutritionist at my surgeon’s office. Does anyone know of someone that they REALLY recommend?

    SOS I'm nervous

I understand feeling like a failure. I’m almost 5 weeks post op. I don’t know what happened to me yesterday but something in my mind said “today I’m not gonna worry about logging food or watching portions”. I didn’t get sick and I ate approved foods but I ate instead of drinking my water, and I drank water while I was eating. I was so depressed yesterday because I knew I was screwing up and I didn’t care enough to stop. I’m scared. Im going to pray this morning for help to get back on track. I hope you are doing okay. We should be supporting each other.

    Pain above belly button

I’m 33 days post op and I have same issue. I don’t know if it’s a hernia or what. I see doctor at 6 week check up so hopefully it goes away by then.
  10. Hi, I'm 4 weeks post op. I have been experiencing a dull pain in my upper right abdomen for a few weeks now. Of course right after surgery your incisions are tender as mine were, but for the most part they feel fine. Nothing looks infected. I am not experiencing any nausea or vomiting, no gas or bloating really. Just this dull pain that is constant. I read that 25% of gastric surgery patients deal with gallbladder issues and I can't tell if this is what I'm dealing with. I have been on soft foods now for 2 weeks. My next followup appointment is in 2 weeks. I called the doctors office to see if I need to come in prior to that but my doctor is gone until next Wednesday. I'm curious if you have dealt with gallbladder problems after surgery, and if this sounds like what is going on with me. I am eating fine. Getting in all my protein, low carb, almost zero sugar. Drinking enough fluids. So I can't understand why I am dealing with this. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this?

    Possible gallbladder problem

The more I look into this I am beginning to think this is not gallbladder pain. I am not experiencing the horrible pain and other side effects that others have experienced. My doctor is out of the office until next Thursday so I am just going to deal with it unless pain becomes severe and then I guess I will go to the ER. I'm wondering if it it just my new stomach reacting to soft foods. I really have no idea what it is but I think most patients at 4 weeks post op have had the pain subside from their surgery.

    Possible gallbladder problem

It goes away a little after lying down although it hurts if I roll over. It feels like a charley horse in my abdomen.

    Carbs in vitamins

I take their Chewable Calcium Citrate and between that and their multivitamin I get 14 carbs I have to count

    Could you be more specific?

    Carbs in vitamins

I actually enjoy the taste of my vitamins but I am curious what vitamins are you hoping to switch to once you get the okay? Do you know the carbs and calories from them?

What vitamins do you take and what are the carbs and calories of them?
  17. Portion sizes Hey everyone, I’m three weeks post op. I’m on soft foods. For dinner I had 3 ounces of ham plus 2 ounces of sweet potato. I think I inadvertently overate. At this stage am I supposed to only be eating 1/4 cup of food per meal? I really don’t want to mess this up.
  18. IDONTWANTTOGROWUP

    What's your go to food?

I'm 3 weeks and 2 days post op. I too am eating refried beans, but I love egg whites and also cottage cheese.
  19. IDONTWANTTOGROWUP

I think I screwed up, please help

I did have a little pressure but no nausea. I guess I’ll try less next time. Yes, ham is on my list!
  20. It probably has lots to do with your stats. You didn't mention your starting weight. I have been frustrated as well, but my weight loss is going to be a lot slower than others because I only had 40 pounds to lose on the day of my surgery which was 3 weeks ago today. I weighed in this morning and I have lost 8 lbs since surgery. I'm getting in the same nutrients as you are. Be patient and trust the process.

How are fellow March sleevers doing?

I weighed in today and have lost 8 pounds since surgery three weeks ago today. The scale says 182 this morning! I will be at my first goal in 32 more pounds! Ideally I would love to see what 115 looks like. I'm only 5'3. I was at 150 lbs a couple of years ago and I looked great, but I decided to celebrate and let my guard down and all the weight came flying back on...

    18 days post op

Should I be concerned that I only lost 3.4 pounds in my first two weeks post surgery? I only need to lose another 35ish pounds to get to goal weight so I expect it to be slower than others, but this hardly seems worth it. I'm eating the same liquid diet that everyone is eating.

    March 19!

Is There A Place Here for Lapbanders To Sleeves?

I am a revision as well. I had surgery 18 days ago. Is it normal to only lose a little over 3 pounds two weeks post op? I only have about 35 pounds left to get to goal but its frustrating me.
  25. IDONTWANTTOGROWUP

    18 days post op

I should clarify and tell you I lost ten pounds on my clear liquids prep diet the 2 weeks prior to surgery. So I went into surgery at 190 and weighed in at 186.4 after two weeks. The starting weight of 205 was the highest from several months ago.
