You have lost 38 lbs in one month! I think you are doing fine.

Aww, thanks! I’m a worrier by nature and definitely above what my dietician said I’d be “able” to eat, but generally I’m feeling really positive! 38 lbs includes my two week preop, but I’m still thrilled with 38 lbs in two months!

Hi, I'd talk to your doctors and see if they have any concerns. I know for myself it often depended on what I was eating in regards to how much I could eat in the beginning. Some things made me full after a couple of bites, and some things (like potato chips unfortunately) I could eat by the bag!

I think from most people I know, Protein choices make you full faster and keep you feeling full way longer. Also, avoid drinking during or after eating (since it can wash the food out of your pouch leaving room for more food).

Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
