5 Month Surgiversary

Recommended Posts

Today marks my 5 month surgiversary!! As of this morning, I am down 156 lbs from my high weight and 130 lbs from surgery. I am blessed that I’ve had little complications through the process. Still have a long way to go. A big THANK YOU to all that have supported me throughout the journey. It’s one of the best desicions I’ve made in life.

WOW!! Congratulations! Technically weeks wise I just had my 5 month but if.you go by day of the month I'm 4 days away. I've only (haha only!) Lost 70. I've learned not to compare weight loss totals after my roommate from my surgery told me she had lost 87 when I had "only" lost 66. I am so thrilled for you!!!

@magpie26Congratulations to you as well. It doesn’t make sense to compare ourselves to others. There are too many variables to consider (like starting weight etc.). Wishing you continued success on your journey!!

Great job! What was your surgery weight? I’m down 47 since surgery on 5/2... I’m wondering how much slower I’m losing than others.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
