I am just naive

Recommended Posts

<begin rant> I tend to be intuitive, I can pick up cues when people are up to something, when emotions are simmering, but then can also tend to be naive, or want to believe that people's intentions are good when they are not.

I realize without being specific that this sounds wacky. I am dealing with news that someone in my immediate family is doing cocaine, has been on and off, I knew about it in the past and I thought it was not happening anymore, but with a new job that pays exceptionally well, this 'recreational use' is back in swing at a level that is alarming. And leading to pretty much abandoning the three teenagers to their own care. The kids are amazingly good kids, the other parent cannot be involved, an arsshole that physically beat one of them, so no contact, besides that was the shared drug use in the past. There does not seem to be much I can do, but it is making me batchit crazy.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. It is such a powerless feeling watching people you love make destructive decisions, especially when their poor decisions affect others, too.

Oh geeze! I'm SO sorry you are dealing with this and are helpless to effect any change! ((hugs)) You just naturally want to assume your fam is making good choices and not jeoparding their lives--especially the well being, health and happiness of those kiddos!!! Sending hugs and prayers your way!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
