Never thought I would be so happy to be off the liquid diet! Loving getting to have some pureed food for a change!

Such a great attitude! Whoo hooo! Wait until you get to soft foods, I remember I went out at midnight to buy a slice of meatloaf from a 24/7 deli. It savored all 4 bites

I start puree over the weekend. But tried a few things that were on soft menu. Follow up was Tuesday. Dr said if I'm handling it and not having issues then soft is OK instead just chew chew chew

I have to admit. I didn't make it through the full day without incident. Was great until dinner and then I had pureed cauliflower with canned chicken. The chicken was not pureed, but it is very soft. I only had small amount, but something just didn't sit right and back up it came after about 15 min. Maybe I ate too fast. I'm sure I will have considerable learning as I go through this process!

I'm definitely learning that when I eat too fast or too much I have major issues. I really have to pay attention. Interestingly I've found that I start burping when my stomach is done eating. It's nice to have that signal since costly my eyes and brain haven't figured it out yet.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
