Healthy salty snack recommendations?

Recommended Posts

I'm almost 4 months post op and have a condition that makes my blood pressure on the low side. My doctor told me to add salt to my diet. I do that but it's still not up enough. I added roasted, salted cashews as a snack. They're so delicious that I'm eating too many. Probably 1/2 cup at one sitting. So I'm trying to find a healthier/less fattening alternative. Any ideas?

What about just adding more salt to what you are already eating and not trying to find a snack to add?

Thanks for the replies. I do already add a lot of salt to what I'm eating. As I lose weight, I'm having to add more and more. I decided to add V8 juice because it's heavy on the sodium. If I want something to crunch on, I'm going to try edamame with added salt. I appreciate your thoughts.

Try getting the low salt V8 variety and add Mrs Dash or "Slap Yo Mama", That's a Cajun seasoning. Oh maybe Italian or Taco seasoning. No need to be boring. And if you're feeling really Froggy, Hot Sauce.🔥 LOL

Try pickles. Zero calories, tons of sodium. And crunchy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
