I am trying to get up to 1200 calories per day. I have only made it once but I am aiming for it. I really don't want to lose too fast. I think that if I do my skin will be a problem. Anyway, rarely hungry and it is great!

I use my plate to count calories.

I eat anywhere from 1500-2000 calories a day depending on what my activity level is like. Like losing said, I get really light headed and shaky if I eat 1500 calories, then go to my spin class and work out with my trainer for an hour. I need the extra calories, sometimes I even have to bring a snack (protein bar or string cheese) with me to the gym to have in between sessions. There are some days when I do nothing at all, so I try to limit my intake on those days...the lowest I have ever been is around 1300 calories. Any less and I starve! It also depends who you ask as I have found, my trainer wants me at 2000 calories, my nutritionist wants me at 1800 calories and my surgeon wants me at 1500 calories. I just picked the number in the middle.

I use My Daily Plate and love it. mydailyplate.com

That site is cool! I just checked it out and spent too much time there getting set up :-) It's just like when I journaled on the Weight Watcher's site only free!

I'm so impressed I may just spring for the year subscription.

Thanks!

I eat about 1000 calories a day...on a good day. Most of the time I can't get there. I don't count calories everyday, just on the days when I haven't eaten much and need to know what to fix for dinner. I don't diet, and eat whatever I want, just not much of it. For example, we went to the cheesecake factory for lunch this weekend and I ate 2 1/2 pieces of orange chicken, 1/2 piece of bread, and 6 bites of pumpkin cheesecake and I was not hungry for the rest of the day. I actually have to force myself to eat. When I do count calories, I use fitday.com

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
