Pork sausages with fresh tomatoes, celery, onion & mushrooms in gravy. I cheated & used Gravox - LOL! Only use the fat pork sausages from the butcher in my home town. They are the best. Every so often I buy some when visiting my mum then freeze them in packs of two for when when I want to cook them.

Looks absolutely lush. Cauli rice to soak up all that lovely gravy?

That’s a good idea. I just usually eat it as is. Let us reduce so it gets pretty rich. Been thinking of adding some white Beans next time to boost the Protein & fibre.

imageproxy.php?img=&key=3bbd8bc3022d1b1aNiece #4 had a sleepover last Friday. We went to see a performance of niece #1’s first choreographic work. Made her scrambled eggs & bacon for breakfast. I made some for my dinner on Saturday night without bacon after I took her back to the coast (was beautiful day). No pxt of mine just hers. First time I’ve been able to eat 2 eggs since surgery but I was starving. Hadn’t really eaten much of the day.

First meal of the day.

Bagel, eggs and strawberry jam. Ate it all: 280 calories *

(* Plus spices I didn’t log cuz i figure the calories are negligible: salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika and cayenne)

The rare time I eat leftovers that isn’t Soup is usually on the same day I have that meal. So, leftover chicken taco casserole from lunch with brown sugar mustard carrots (yellow mustard, brown sugar, and smoked paprika mixed and then tossed with carrots before baking) from meal prepping today.

I also made a cheese tortellini bake for dinner but since I don’t usually eat pasta… it was definitely for the kids.

Made Jamie Oliver’s ricotta fritters & rich Tomato sauce yesterday. Of course I made some changes to the sauce like no chilli, added onion & celery & used button mushrooms instead of porcini. Shame is only about 10g of Protein. But tasty. The fritters would be good for Breakfast with a poached egg.

Hey October Surgery friends...how are you doing? I've lost 15 lbs since surgery on 18th.42 lbs overall. Wearing clothes that feel great. Had a bout of cold and stomach flu and still having some nausea off and on after that but getting better, I think.
Seems like I fill up and have minor pain quicker when I eat hot foods rather than cold. Anyone else notice this?
Still sooo glad I did this.

I had surgery Oct 29. Lost 35#. Plateau now. But seeing what clothes fit now is encouraging.
