SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS

After thinking I might make May-June-July-or August for my surgery, it turns out I will be singing a SEPTEMBER song. Do I have a surgery twin, someone who will be going through this wonderous transformation with me?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to “reply” and no success lol! So @Frustr8 , my Surgery will be at Mount Carmel West with Dr. Marcus Miller through Central Ohio Surgical Associates.

My highest weight is about 330 at the end of May. I lost 15 in June so I wouldn’t have to extend my weigh ins. Right now I’m at 310 but I hope to hit 299 by the day of surgery. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure last year and my glucose is normal , not sure how though. Thank you ! I hope things go well for you as well!

Hmmn Better you than me! Marcus Miller and I go way back and not all of it good. But different strokes, different folks, I hope he does do good by you. And the rest perhaps the better not said. I will be praying for you that things go well.
I know a few ladies in a fb group who had surgery with him but didn’t mention anything bad. I’ve only met him once,9/11 and 9/17 with be the second and third time I’ve seen him since last April lol. What was your experience with him?

Private message me and I'll spill the beans, I hate to air it again in public. Parts I don't think are pretty.
I had rny in January and started around 410 and now it’s August and I’m sitting at 290, it has been easy, I suggest it to everyone I meet, the pro outway the cons 10 fold
If your interested in hearing the pros pls ask, there are many

I just rescheduled my surgery date to 9/13.. changed it cus I was going to be on my monthly and opted to not deal with that at the same time!

Mine got rescheduled for the 13th as well! Originally I was 9/5, but I had to have oral surgery and that was cutting it too short to heal completely for intubation with VSG surgery.

That is awesome! Do you have to do a pre op diet? I hope all goes well for you with the VSG but also with the dental!

Yes, I have to do a 2 week pre-op diet, but I started it early. Mine allows Protein Shakes and 4 oz of lean meat and vegetables for dinner. My calorie cap is 1200.

Lucky you Christabelle, mine is only a thousand, 4 shakes I fruit snack , dinner 300 calorie,or less frozen entree less than 30 carbs, or in exchange, 6oz lean meat, nobeef and 1 c non starchy vegetable, no potatoes, corn or peas. I could also have small veggie salad with 2 T diet dressing.
And 64+ oz water or no cal no caff drinks

Lucky both of you! Mine is a full liquid diet with 90 g of protein. Broth, strained cream of soups, power aid zero, sf popsicles, sf jello, water and crystal light. But I guess that is why the said for us NOT to start it any sooner than the date given to us by the surgeon.
Here is my two week pre op diet that I have to begin 9/12.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to try starting that one early. Is your pre-op diet 2 weeks?
