ER trip to rule out blood clot

Recommended Posts

Did your pain ever go away? I have this soreness that I can't get rid of. They did an ultrasound today and I am waiting for the results [emoji20][emoji27]

The thing I really dislike about ERs is being treated like I'm an attention-seeking, drug-seeking hypochondriac.

Oh me too!! I know a few different pain meds don't work at all for me including morphine, codeine, and tramadol. And now of course, I can't take NSAIDs either. Me telling any nurse or doctor this makes me sound like a drug - seeker. So I am always under-prescribed. This drives me me crazy because how can I explain that I made ten Oxycodone leftover from a surgery, last literally years in my medicine tub. I still have the last one that I *nearly* used for my recent kidney stone pain but decided not to as I have a pretty high pain threshold. So, it drives me mental, I mean yesterday I got prescribed buscopan and panadol for renal colic from a kidney stone. I didn't ask for anything stronger because I didn't need it, but I'm sure they would have looked at me sideways in the emergency department if I had!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
