Howdy I'm new here. My title got you to look huh? LOL What I mean by goldfisher eaters is I eat like a goldfish. I continue to eat till food is gone. I am going to have sleeve done Aug 1st. I start liquid only diet July 22nd. I was wondering if there was other goldfish eaters out there that got the sleeve and how you dealt with the mental aspect of eating. Plus I just love the taste of food. I know that I need to think of it as fuel for my body only but I like the taste and that is usually when I overeat and eat till the food is gone.

You might want to seek therapy, we all have our food issues. I know some people that cannot trust themselves and have revised their food choices to be less palatable - not untaste-y - but not hyper flavor saturated as this lead to overconsumption every time.

Hi here, you may want to also discuss this with your team and perhaps reconsider which surgery you choose as you can very easily eat around the sleeve. You may need malabsorption as well as restriction but only you and your surgical team can decide that. Safe journey!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
