Fever, pain & vomiting . IM OVER it

Hello all !
I was just curious if any of you had experienced any of these few things . I am almost three weeks out and as of a few days ago my intake of food and protein has been limited Bc i can’t seem to keep anything down not even water. Everything that i loved a few days ago now just the scent makes me dry heave or actually throw up. None of the medications i have for nausea has helped.. in fact they have just made me throw up. I’ve also started developing fevers and constant chills even w/o a noticeable fever. I also now have a really sharp stabbing pain in my upper abdomen. I did contact my doctors office this evening to let them know what’s going on . I’m just curious if any of you have experienced the same things and what have you either done to remedy it or what has your doctor done ?

Update: Now I have a Pic Line and i will be getting IV Nutrients. I go for an endoscopy sometime tomorrow. I thank you all for checking on me. I will update again tomorrow. Thanks again guys
I had that with my sleeve in 2014. It sucked, but it gave my stomach the time it needed to rest and heal. Make sure they keep an eye on that PICC line, and you just take care of you. It was an odd time, as they also wouldn’t let me lose weight. They would hang a bag of fats every day. I would laugh about having weight loss surgery and being given fats. I then had a feeding tube and the daily caloric count was over 2,000. Again, I had to laugh. I was an overweight woman with a feeding tube. Sometimes I just had to find the humor.
I’ll be thinking of you, as I have been there. Know you can come out of this just fine, and still get to your goals! ❤️

@Kimber628 hi wow so I have picc line now but I’m still losing weight I lose about 3 lbs a week or so and I still have nausea going on 10 weeks it haven’t let up how long did it take until yij were better they will do a check on my throat and also inside. So far they can’t tekl why this is happening. I was just released last week for a blood infection and had to get new picc line almost died I was taken by ambulance and nearly fainted and was given lots of morphine for pain.it feels like I’ll never be normal I wish u never did this surgery I rather lose it the hard way and be back to my old self. I feel my life is ruined and I’ll never eat again.

I live upstate so I’m more closer to Niagara and Canada (2hrs) than i am to NYC (7-8hrs)
I live near Lake George so I am kinda close to you. Feel better soon!
@kokolat2005 I have so been there. I had an odd thing happen where I got a new PICC line and within 24 hours, I was full of blood clots. My right arm to neck was 80% occluded. I had them in my leg and my lung. I didn’t feel well so my doctor had my go to the hospital for the line to be checked. I drove myself there lol. I ended up in ICU and once I was more stable, I was sent to a university hospital for a few weeks. I here you on the almost dying thing. It was terrifying. I had the line taken out and I switched to a feeding tube. I’ll be thinking of you and hoping this all gets better soon. Keep advocating for yourself!!

Another update ? So they said that they are Not going to take the Gallbladder but they are going to watch and wait for my pancreatitis to get better. I just want to feel better and go home.
Had pacreatitis in 2015, not a fun fun thing! Wouldn't,you almost rather have gone to,Disney,World instead of all this. follderol?
At least you had somewhat an excuse for your pancreatitis, mine came when my gall bladder, had exited 31 years before.? Get to,feeling, better soon.

Boogie, you mind your P's and Q's and do everything they tell you to. You don't want to screw around with pancreatitis. Thinking of you and hoping you're feeling better ASAP. What crappy luck!

Update ? i have now “graduated “ to shakes again although they’ve been causing me great pain and trouble keeping them down. I am also still being fed nutrients via IV for the next two or so days . The positive of all of this is that my pancreas levels are improving. I will update soon. Thank you all ❤️

So glad the pancreatitis is improving! Good news! Take it slow and steady...you're on the mend:) Wishing you a rapid recovery.

I do so hope all my other PICC buddies got better and hopefully I will too. It will be 2 months soon for me, but I am not stalled yet, still losing but small amounts. Just 2 pounds Decemberv18- January 15th.. Next surgeon appointment February 12th but I do have an endoscopy coming up this Friday January 25th with Dr Noria. Being hopeful I will be told good things.
Frust8. I will keep you in my prayers that you get better soon. You always are here to support others and always upbeat. Thank you
