  1. Hello all ! I was just curious if any of you had experienced any of these few things . I am almost three weeks out and as of a few days ago my intake of food and protein has been limited Bc i can’t seem to keep anything down not even water. Everything that i loved a few days ago now just the scent makes me dry heave or actually throw up. None of the medications i have for nausea has helped.. in fact they have just made me throw up. I’ve also started developing fevers and constant chills even w/o a noticeable fever. I also now have a really sharp stabbing pain in my upper abdomen. I did contact my doctors office this evening to let them know what’s going on . I’m just curious if any of you have experienced the same things and what have you either done to remedy it or what has your doctor done ?
  2. Unfortunately my story is rather unique.. I had to have a “revision” surgery and Gallbladder removal after falling ill almost 4 weeks out of my original GB surgery in June . After the second surgery I was given a JP drain for the first time. As of now it’s been removed but there are days where i still wake up in pain similar to the pain i was having WITH the drain. Now i understand how gravity works and how sometimes depending on the way that you move can cause you pain in that area in which you had surgery .. after all it’s only been a little over a week. However, sometimes i just wonder has anyone else experienced this pain ... if so how was it for you and how did you deal with said pain. The pain that I’m having in a way feels like someone is physically stabbing me in my incision . It is literally the most uncomfortable feeling ever . Please if anyone can give me pointers , or let me know how things were for them after their drain removal that would be great . Thnx ❤️

Fever, pain & vomiting . IM OVER it

Update 💓 i have now “graduated “ to shakes again although they’ve been causing me great pain and trouble keeping them down. I am also still being fed nutrients via IV for the next two or so days . The positive of all of this is that my pancreas levels are improving. I will update soon. Thank you all ❤️

Another update 💓 So they said that they are Not going to take the Gallbladder but they are going to watch and wait for my pancreatitis to get better. I just want to feel better and go home.

Yess ! Omg you are spot on. I’m definitely glad i chose to go to emergency and stay there because there’s no telling what would’ve happened if I’d gone home like i wanted to. I only waited roughly 30- 45 mins to be seen in triage then i had to wait to be brought back Bc their ED was pretty full. I was honestly pretty afraid of what they would say considering i hadn’t thrown up in their presence until I’d been brought back to a room. I was happy to see that they were able to see what was going on with me via the blood tests and Urine test that were done . Even though i could barely produce any urine since i was so dehydrated. I always get paranoid when coming to ED Bc I’ve seen first hand working in a hospital how things can be brushed off , or because you aren’t physically ill in their faces that there isn’t anything wrong . You know ? As for my mom.. I am super thankful for her support. Unfortunately she has to work so i haven’t been able to see her too much since I’ve been admitted but she still checks on m as if she were still here.

@megan thank you love ! I’m hoping that i start to feel better soon . I am still very nauseous and in pain. My mom has been here with me .. she stayed with me all night until she had to go to work this morning. So I’ve been alone for some time today unfortunately

Fever, pain & vomiting . IM OVER it

Just a little update 💓 I have now been admitted to the hospital . I came in last night around 11 pm due to a really bad dry heaving / vomiting spell that lasted around 25 mins and i couldn’t even keep down the little bit of water i drank just to take my anti nausea medication . I waited around 2 hours or so to be seen and i was almost admitted right away . I was severely dehydrated . What was supposed to be an “overnight “ stay turned into “hopefully discharged on Monday” . I do for sure have a stricture and the doctors are thinking possible pancreatitis as well . But they aren’t sure and they would prefer not to operate on the stricture as of yet unless things don’t improve by Monday . I have also been surprised with the possibility of getting nutrients via IV.. Which i am not stoked about at all. I work in a hospital and i hate when my patients have to go through that . Unfortunately it might be me soon 😭.

Fever, pain & vomiting . IM OVER it

Thank you guys so much for checking in on me. I did have my appointment this morning and turns out i was dehydrated (which I already knew) and i have a stricture from the scarring between my pouch and my small intestine . They found this out by doing an upper GI . My doctor prescribed a few different anti nausea medications for me to help take in fluids. Even with the medicine i still feel terrible but i have been able to eat a few ice chips here and there .. although I still dry heave. I go back to see my doctor next week. He hopes that the problem can resolve itself but if it does not i will have to undergo surgery .

    June sleevers

Hello guys ! So today 6/12 @ 8 am I am scheduled to have gastric bypass surgery . While I am extremely excited and blessed to have this opportunity. I am kind of stuck .. i have done everything as directed for the 2 week liquid pre op diet including the day before “all clear liquids” diet and all of a sudden i have REALLY BAD acid reflux . Like honestly this appeared out of no where and I haven’t eaten/drank anything that should’ve caused this to happen . I’m honestly scared right now because I’m not sure what to do ... or how to go about it. Maybe that’s a silly thing to say or question . I don’t know . If any of you have any advice i would greatly appreciate it
