I been trying to figure out the same thing. I had gastric bypass March 16th and my surgery weight was 235 and I have been 208 for the past week. Am I doing something wrong?

There is no set amount you "should" be losing. Everyone is different.

If you are in a stall, just watch your intakes. Make sure your Protein intake is where it should be, make sure your Water intake is upwards of 128oz of water or more. Make sure you are actually exercising.

Don't focus just on weight, if you are working out you can lose body fat and not "weight".

Water is critical to weight loss, our bodies will not process/breakdown fat if there isn't enough water to do so! We really want to see water intake upwards of 128oz a day. It sucks at first, but after you get used to it, it's not much of a problem!

How early out should we hit 128 oz?

It's going to be different for everyone, just work on trying to get a little more in each day. Don't rush or force it, but do try to get more. Also, it doesn't *have* to be 128oz, that's just my general "goal". Going over is fine, going under is fine, just want to make sure we are getting upwards of 128oz, 64 is a great start, but it's not enough to support everything we need it to.

I have a sleeve so these expectations might be a bit low for a full bypass, but my nutritionist said that in the first month you should lose about 20 pounds, months 2-6, 8-12 pounds a month, and then months 7-12, 6-8 pounds a month. Of course we all lose differently so I would not panic if you are losing less than the aforementioned.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
