Pre-op Diet -All Liquid Phase

Recommended Posts

Good morning all...

I am on day 5 of the liquid diet. My surgery is June 7th.

I was told to stop taking celebrex on Thursday to prevent bleeding. I have stopped taking the medicine completely and have been in some pain, but I guess that's to be expected.

Since starting this diet, I have been really tired and this morning I woke up with muscle aches, a headache and well even my teeth hurt.

While I was at my doctor's office this last Friday he said that it is not uncommon to experience dehydration during the all liquid diet. He said that it sounds crazy but it has happened.

Wondering if anybody has had this happened to them or if anybody has had to stop taking celebrex and what if any side effects they experienced?

Thanks for any input

I added chicken broth whenever I got light headed. It seemed to help. My doctor said it was better to up my Protein and than to become dehydrated and weak.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
