Celebrex and gastric sleeve

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery back in August of 2013 and I've really never had much of a success at all. I have very bad arthritis throughout my whole body and was wondering if anybody takes Celebrex? I have been taking it for a month and it appears that I have developed a small ulcer. I might have not been taking it with the proper amount of food who knows but anyway just wondering if anybody else takes Celebrex and if they do, do you take a PPI with it or anything else to protect the stomach before taking it?

I took it for a little while. My surgeon had me take it the same time as a PPI to protect my stomach. Sorry yours is bothering you. Hope it heals better fast!

p.s. I stopped the Celebrex after a few weeks because it wasn't helping me sleep better (back pain)

Thank you.... I just hope I can try it again soon. I figured to take the PPI a bit before the Celebrex and probably will take it every other day and see how that goes....it helped so much with the pain.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
