I never had much nausea but, I was given two antinausea meds. I took one in the morning and 1 at night. Maybe you should call your surgeon and ask for something better?

I would call your doctor to ask for a different dose or different medication

I just got sleeved on May 16th and my nausea has greatly outweighed the pain I have in my body. The first day was terrible. They gave me zofran as well and then they ran the gamut on what they gave me at the hospital. They gave me this shot called compazine ( I think) and it cleared it all up. The zofran at home seems to be doing better since then at keeping nausea to a minimum. I find if I lay totally flat though it increases my nausea.

Im 7 days out and was nauseas like crazy. The second night in the hospital I was hit with real bad nausea and indigestion. I was given something for it which helped alot. I was advised by nurse to get Mylicon chewables (childrens) to fight at home, if I get hit with it again. Its helping me out like no other. Pick some up!

I was sleeved Mon May 14 and my nausea was so severe I couldn’t keep even the tiniest sip of liquids down for the first two days. The nurses tried a variety of nausea meds and Carafate finally worked. It was like a miracle!! It is a drug frequently used for ulcers and it coats your stomach. It has a chalky taste like liquid stomach medicine. I don’t mind it at all. Finally Wed I could keep down tiny sips down and was released from the hospital. I now have a giant bottle to use at home. It was expensive but worth it. Good luck!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
