I need support: Struggling with control before my pre-op

Recommended Posts

Hello all. All of a sudden, I’m struggling with self control regarding sweets. Mind you, I have lost 41 pounds during the 6 month medically supervised weight loss that my insurance required me to have before approval for WLS. I don’t know if it’s because mentally I think “this is my last hurrah” before I buckle down and do my two weeks per op diet. I’m just needing some words of wisdom so if anyone has any, I’d love to hear them! Thanks in advance. [emoji17]

If you’re feeling like temptation is there, just step back, breathe and tell yourself this is all for a reason.

This is for your surgery to make sure your surgeon has the best tool he can work with, you’re his tool. And in return he will give you a tool so you can love your life in the healthiest way possible.

Dont worry, we have all been there and it’s hard. But you can do it!

I understand completely. I mildly indulged in carbs before my pre-op and now I feel like I am paying for it in my pre-op. I have had really bad headaches from carb withdrawl. I think its normal but do understand it will make your pre-op all the much harder.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
