One Week Post Op

Recommended Posts

Well today is my one week post op day and things are going well. I weighed today and I am down 6.2# from my weight the day of surgery so if you add in the 6 Fluid pounds I left the hospital with that is 12.2# since last Thursday. I feel really pretty good.

I need to get back on the elliptical today for the first time....don't know why I am so resistant to doing it but I need to get my big girl panties on and JUST DO IT. Don't see my surgeon until next Thursday so shakes and Clear Liquids it is. Getting a little (more than a little) tired of them after 3 weeks but I know it is important for healing.

So happy that this site is here....it helps a lot. Hope everyone has a great day.

hang in there Miz60 it gets so much better very soon.

If you have not discussed that elliptical with your surgeon you might just skip it till your follow up appt.

Just walk as much as you can everyday till you get released for more intensive workouts.

^^ agree! I wasn’t allowed to use my elliptical until after I saw my surgeon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
