Today was my 4th day post op and I have been doing excellent! However today was the first family dinner we had and it was a real wake up call for how hard this is truly going to be. While everyone was having tacos, I’m drinking Protein Water. I’m happy that I finally got my sleeve but it is so bittersweet, because I did not realize how huge food is in our lives. But I made it through! And I’ve lost 2 pounds this week! And I’m thinner than I have been since 2010. Cheers to a new beginning.

As I'm the family cook, I'm going to focus on watching the others enjoy the food I make them for a while (after I go home tomorrow).

We'll get to enjoy better sized real meals of lots of lovely healthy natural foods soon too. We just need to be patient with our bodies while we heal and adapt.

You are going to be the Top Bariatric Success Story in all of South Australia, I have nominated you! Isn't. that kind of me? All teasing aside, I am very proud of your success, you do make me yearn to experience my own surgery time, I do get impatient to become a patient. But I am planning and working toward that goal, slow as it comes, it still will be a good thing in my life. This change is a good change, and I have every certainity of that.😜

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
