I didn't do food funerals. I had the outlook that I will eat things again in moderation. However, I've realized that there is a lot that I have no intention on eating, any time soon. For example, sweets.... I try not to eat anything with added sugars. If it does have added sugar, then I keep it under 5 grams per serving. Again, this is extremely rare. I'm afraid to death to dump, especially in public. So I can't imagine just picking up a bag of sour patch kids and only having a "few", which would have been my thoughts prior to surgery. So while, I didn't have food funerals..... I realized that I said goodbye, without saying goodbye to a lot of things. Most likely forever, I hope forever.

Everyone has such great advice and encouraging words, thanks y’all!... even tho I think my “food funerals” were just cravings due to shark week(I usually fight those urges much better than I did last week) your encouraging words and advice has really motivated me to get my act together before surgery next month

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
