I'm finding that things with an outer "skin" are becoming difficult at times. If I'm not careful, I get a slightly uncomfortable "stuck" feeling, though it has not yet gotten to the point of having to PB.

That's EXACTLY the feeling - yuk!

I have also had this same problem with soy Beans as well. I don't know if it's because the beans are rather dense or because of the skins, but I have to be sure to eat those more slowly.

Note to self - oranges and grapes are off the list for now, add more apples and pears (no problems with them so far)...

Susan - Good luck!

I second (or third, or fourth) that...Good luck Susan! :mad2: No problem with me and sushi though - YUK!!:cool2:

Having chicken-and-dumpling Soup for lunch...lots of veggies, yum! Just came back from my lunchtime walk - conquered the 'big hill' yet another day...but was behind two people who seemed to be walking slowly, but kept a good pace and kicked my butt by the top of the hill...*sigh*

Susan thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ebony, I have to peel plums and apples. Grapes are ok as long as I do them slow and chew like crazy. I usually eat blueberries as they are my favs. I can sit down with a bowl of them and milk and my Apriva and be in hog heaven.12_4_43.gif 12_4_45.gif 12_4_39.gif

16_3_203.gif I love this little frog. It is so cute.

Ebony...I was taking a break from invoices, read about your walk and am getting up and away from the computer and taking a few minutes to walk!

You're so inspiring!

Thanks, Glouc! :cool2:

You and the rest of the LBT crew inspire me every single day - between Luluc and Ceradad, I have jocks to chase, Tap and Beth and you keep me laughing, and the total she-ro worship I have for BBK - heck, the whole crew is just amazing!

And if I failed to mention anyone, know that I :mad2: you all - there's no way I'd be as far along in my journey without you all. I'd still be sitting on my (bigger) rear end lamenting the failure of 'traditional' weight loss methods and my inability to get my arse in gear (thanks, Jachut) and get the info I needed to make a good decision on the band.

Heck, I might have ended up with a bypass :tt2:

Ebony, I don't think that you would still be sitting on your rear. You have so much gumption that I KNOW you would have done it. You inspire me.

Susan, you have my prayers and thoughts.

Hi everyone!

Oh yeah, I have to peel plums and grapes. I haven't even tried oranges since I was unable to eat the plum. I just juiced the orange. I was able to eat canned mandarin oranges with no problems.

I've peeled grapes before, but I really don't think they're worth it.

Canned fruits are perfect, plus those little ones for kiddies are a good size, too.

PJTP - Came home from the gym. DD and I went yesterday and today and I bribed her again. If we go every night this week, we'll get mani's on Saturday. :cool2: That got her going.

I peeled grapes this last time because the grapes were soooooo good. I think it had just been so long since I had some grapes that I was willing to go through the trouble.

Let's here it for the sweet spot! It is wonderful when you find it.

That sounds so funny when it's not in context!

I have no idea if I'm at my sweet spot; I was being facetious with the large volume of food the day of my fill. This morning I dry heaved in the shower after having taken 2 Tylenol like a dumb ass. I tried 5-6 bites of mashed potatoes at lunch-pb'd. Yeah clearly I don't learn, huh? I'm pretty miserable today. Today was the first day that I briefly thought that I wished I'd had a GB. (I don't know of a doc in Atl that does sleeves but there might be.) It feels like I'm doomed to a liquid/bulimic diet.

I gave one of those photo frames to my mother for Christmas - so far she hasn't mentioned a 'ghost' family, but then again, if a strange photo appeared she would probably just think her eyes or memory are worsening!

Aww poor thing! I was going to say "bless her heart" in the heartfelt way but realize it doesn't translate well b/w regions!

That's an awesome, non-food and non-monetary bribe!!!

SNT- Do you have any fill at all in your band? If so......You're too tight! Also, you should think about switching to liquid meds (if you have an extensive med list, you might have to "crush" some meds that don't come in liquid form. I know you know this....just a friendly reminder). It could be that you PB'ing the Tylenol irritated your throat and that's why you couldn't keep down the 'tators.

I still think you're probably too tight. Yeah, I'm a buttinski.

A man's diet...

Too funny! Thanks for the laugh.

babygrl1234;1186605 - your DD is gorgeous!

MacMadame, there are fantastic deals on both new and CPO vehicles everywhere. Maybe it might be worth a look?

lulu - you have a haunted frame!

I'm so mad at the BL idiots! They missed the chance to get rid of the devious bastard!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
