Breaking the 300 barrier

Recommended Posts

hey all. was it just me or did breaking the 300 barrier feel like one of life's greatest accomplishment? crossing into the 300's was like entering the abyss for me. and once i got there, i kinda spiraled to a day of surgery weight of 360!! 3 1/2 months now post-sleeve and I am now 275. just so remarkable, really. and crossing back into the 200's was one of of the greatest joys i have experienced in a long time. now i'm on a mission to cross back into the 1's (?/!).

i sincerely hope that all guys thinking about bariatric, or who have done it and need to come out of the 3's experience the same sense of satisfaction and joy that i did.

just what was on my mind today.

When you cross into a new hundreds mark it does feel really good. I remember from previous weight loss attempts that crossing below 300 felt really, really good.

Onederland is the ultimate goal--199. 75 pounds to go! Won't stop until i hit that goal.

Focused now on hitting 250.

Boy this feels good. Can't imagine why more guys who need this don't do it!

I’d dropped below 300 on a number of occasions between 2015 and 2017, so it wasn’t a huge deal. My lowest in the two years prior to surgery was 289. But on Sunday, I was below 250 for the first time since I was a sophomore in high school, and THAT was an achievement!

I remember setting small goals when I first started my weight loss journey (Feb 2017) and said it'd great to see a 2 as the first number, then 250, 225, and then it came to a realization that maybe, just maybe, I'd be able to say I'm one hundred and xx lbs. A little over a week ago, I stepped on the scale and saw 199.8. Was I really in onederland? Seems unreal, but like the sound of it. Today, I weighed in at 195.8. Give it time, and keep up the great work, you too will get there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
