So thank you, I’m enternally grateful

I am now 4 days post my abdominaplasty and arm tuck and wanted to get all your experiences on the best skin routine and cream to help scars treatment and also the best diet for recovery.

Hi - and congrats! I'm so happy for you. My plastic surgeon insisted on high Protein and hydration and lots of rest for the first few weeks... he also said that most creams and treatments don't work, it's just a matter of time. Not stressing the incisions for the first few weeks is probably the most important, the areas on my stomach that were really tight and got pulled on a lot are where the scar is most visible and taking the longest to fade away.

After the incision healed over, I just used regular moisturizing cream to keep everything loose and moving, but that was more for comfort than scar treatment.

Thank you so much.

It seems like there’s a 101 scar screams and some cost a fortune. I’m currently using natural remedies, arnica and calendula to help sooth my irritated skin.

With the diet, it’s a challenge with my sleeve to eat all this Protein. So I am trying liquids and Soups. Hope it’s enough

so excited to get rid of Heba bloating and see my new body

Arnica, great for bruises also, calendula, very smooth and soothing. Odd, But as I go farther and farther into my weight loss journey I am becoming more holistic and leaning more toward vegetarian if not total vegan, meat doesn't sit well on a gastritis stomach as it used to. I've been going to fish, small amounts of Turkey or chicken. If I can keep Hector my baby ulcer asleep, life is more beautiful[emoji106][emoji14]

I have the same experience. Detoxing and listening to my stomach made me give up foods that I can no longer digest. I crave that delicious steak but can’t diges it for days.

With my post op I’m trying to follow a diet of Protein and Fiber, in various forms, liquids or solids. And natural remedies for my skin coupled with supplements .. hopefully someone can inspire some more solutions, it’s only day 5 :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
