Tattoo scar cover up?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had tattoos to cover up your surgery scars? I am thinking of getting some small butterflies or something. 🦋

No but I did hear of someone who had ivy leaves and then a thinner trail connecting them. I'm an older generation:my first thought, she had more money than good sense. But I gonna admit if I had money enough it might be pretty.

I don't anticipate having any visible scars, but if I was going to cover them up I would definitely wait until I got down to my goal weight.

Give them a year or so...the purple fades a LOT over time and they're barely noticeable. Comparing my sleeve scars to my gallbladder scars from over a decade ago....I can hardly find my gallbladder scars and i'm actively looking:)

Thank you [emoji4] I am only 7 weeks post op and have been using bio oil so hopefully the scars will fade a lot more. The scar where the stomach was removed is in my belly button, so don’t think that will notice at all. Another one is really high up so that should be hidden in my bra line. I recon the surgeon did a great job.
As you say I will definitely wait until goal weight before deciding if there is a scar worth covering.
I am just getting excited for the day I can wear a bikini [emoji160] lol! If there is still a scar I will definitely be getting a tattoo, just wondering if anyone on here has already done it.

I'm 15 months post op and you can barely see my scars. I feel like with my skin as loose as it is now any tattoo on my abdomen would look a mess.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
