6 weeks with gastric by pass.

Normal. They are body breaks...when your body needs to readjust to the loss of weight. You might have them a lot over the months. I'm at 2 years post-op and I still get them. I'm a slow loser now that I'm almost to goal. Hang in there!

Hang in there!! Keep tack of everything that you eat or drink. Your body has been under a lot of stress. I can say this much you are not alone with worrying and stressing out about the STALLS!! It just takes time and patience. Make sure you are getting enough Protein and fluids. Maybe add some exercise and DON'T cut your calories to low. Keeping track of things will help with the stalls. As long as you are doing the things that your Surgeon's guidelines just TRUST the process. Good Luck

Make sure you are getting your required amount of Protein in each day. I am 10 weeks out and I had a stall around week 7. I realized I wasn't getting my required protein. Once I made sure I was getting all my protein, the weight loss picked back up.

Tell us a bit more - maybe fill in your profile so we can see your start weight, how much you have lost, your goal?

My experience - the stalls are often when my SIZE drops - like I go down a pants size. I kinda feel like maybe my body is shifting things around - fat off my bum and back to protect my liver - to deal with the weight loss.

So these days I embrace a stall, knowing I’ll be seeing a clothes difference soon...

But the scales will start to drop again, just stick to your plan, eat your Protein, drink your water...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
