February Blahs...

Recommended Posts

Just need to vent a little, if I may...

So January was a little bleak. I struggled with the weight I gained over the holidays and was really feeling bummed about this whole process.

But things turned a corner and the scale started moving in the right direction again. I've lost all but half a pound of my holiday weight.

Exercising in the winter months is a challenge as we don't have funds for a gym membership, and we live in a small condo without much room for indoor workouts, so I've been chomping at the bit for the snow to be gone so I can get back out walking (my preferred exercise).

Cue this week... two solid days of snow (about 20 cm) follwed by extreme cold (-35°C, feels like -43°C). And then this morning I woke up with a kick a$$ head cold.

I know I'm whining. I'm suffering from what my mom calls PLOM disease... poor little old me. I just needed to vent my spleen.

hahahaha! You can do it at your pace, just walk in place to her stream. Then you know that you've done about a mile without moving. I couldn't do any of the "steps" she showed. ROFLMAO!

Mrs Ganges happy to hear about PLOM disease, wonder it is caused by the same virus as my WhyMe-itis? Everybody else has their surgery dates, evernoxy is getting their operation. What have I done to deserve this? Why Me? Even Fluffy Chix has hers, i know she's been waiting nearly a year but,.I'm a tad jelly about now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
