I got my sleeve on Tuesday. Went home from hospital on Wednesday. And today is my first full day home. I remember how scared I was before and that seeing positive posts always help so here goes mine. I had an awesome experience. Very little nausea when I first woke up. That was the only nausea I had. No vomiting whatsoever. And very very little pain. I was pretty shocked that it didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. I think the biggest challenge now is being able to get in 30 ounces of liquid in 30 ounces of clear liquid because you get full so fast. But nothing more than slight discomfort lots of burps and goggles. But I feel amazing. I hope this helps all of you calm your nerves.:)

Don't be anxious. Remember you've come so far, done so well, tomorrow just starts your journey to better health. Now climb on that cart, lay back, and let the surgeon perform the magic. Bariatric surgeons do it often, they do it good, it's not their first rodeo, you are in good hands. As I read the stories on Bariatric Pal most posters say they wake up only minimally uncomfortable. Makes me hunger for my own surgery, should be within the next 6 weeks . Just think, as of tomorrow you'll be a "veteran" to me. Now get some rest tonight, I'll be praying for you. [emoji307] and hugs.

Not one issue. I’m less than 3 weeks out. No pain. Never vomited. I can drink normally now. I’ve eaten chicken, pork, ground beef, steak, and green Beans. No problems at all. I’m hungry now every 3-4 hours. Eat almost a whole egg, or yogurt , tiny 2 Oz serving of Protein and 6 green beans and I’m good for 3+ hours. I’m down 20lbs:)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
