Recommended Posts

5 weeks post op! Feeling good!!! Still tired at times.. down 35lbs from surgery and 48lbs over all.. which I am very happy with!! I am wondering when/if I will see a difference in my looks...? Don’t get me wrong, I did this surgery for health reasons, not cosmetic!! And I am so happy with my numbers!! But will I look in the mirror and notice the 50lbs/75/100..... pounds gone??

You know, it's funny....I am down 60 pounds and up until this week, I really couldn't see it.

Other people could, and have been commenting like crazy.

But other than some of my clothes getting really loose, I haven't really noticed a change in my looks.

Have definitely noticed changes in my energy and how well I feel....but my looks, not so much.

Yesterday I went shopping with my bestie and got into smaller pants than i've worn in over a decade.

Put together a really cute outfit with them when I got home....and noticed.

Finally.

Yep, the changes really are happening:)

Even if you're not noticing yet? Everyone else does. Keep up the good work!

It’ll take you longer to notice because you see yourself every day. I think it’s a little easier for men because we wear belts to hold up our pants and one day you notice you can pull it an extra notch. Or that you’ve run out of notches and need a smaller one.

It depends on your body, the amount of weight you have to loose and what you consider "noticing" it.

The less you have to lose the faster you will see the changes, measure your body right now: Head, neck, breasts, biceps, forearms, wrist, waist, hips, thighs, calves, ankles. Then check every 4 weeks.

Remember to follow your protocol to a T: Protein, Water, Vitamins and 10K steps. You do that and the rest will fall in line.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
