Pre op new to app

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I am new to the app and wanted to introduce myself. I am pre op for the sleeve. I am hoping to have the surgery in May so I will have the summer to recover and get used to the new lifestyle. I have already accomplished a few goals in preparation for the surgery. I quit smoking (2 and a half packs daily!) seven months ago. I also quit drinking soda in October. I am hoping for ultimate success and would appreciate any encouragement or advice.

Hi congrats on accomplishing some of your goals. I am 17 days post op and I feel great thank God. I really like this app because I just feel the support and I know people know exactly what I'm going through. So far I have felt so much support. I'm new at this too but hopefully I can be some help to you.

That would be wonderful! Did you have the sleeve? I’m still learning how this app works.

Awesome! Cause so far I’m struggling with it [emoji23]

Just play around with it you'll get the hang of it. When is your surgery scheduled? You excited?

I’m still waiting on insurance approval. But I am hoping for sometime in May. I am super excited and nervous. I am trying to be as prepared as possible.

Welcome and congrats! Giving up soda was the number 1 thing I was happy I did before surgery. Now, a year post op, I still don't drink it and I don't miss it. I never thought I'd say that. Good luck. You'll do great.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
