@Mr EdwardsI'm in a similar situation, down 86lbs overall, and while visibly smaller in size, my belly seems to be stubborn and wants to be the last to go. Little things remind me of the progress made, like thinking to myself "am I going to fit in that booth, or can I make it between the chair and wall?" and find myself having no issues at all where I would have in the past. Keep at it, the belly will eventually go (at least that's what I'm telling myself).

Congrats on the 62lbs hon. That's massive! I think we all "know" what else weighs 62lbs...:259_elephant: ;) bahahahaha!

So did you take pre-surgery piccys? I'd bust out the photos and look. I know you will be able to tell in the piccys. But it does take a while for our mind to catch up with our new bodies!!! ((hugs)) Hang in there and keep on truckin'. You'll see it soon!

I feel like the place we want the weight to come off of is the last place it actually comes off of. That’s how it’s always been for me.

I am sure you look much different and congratulations on your progress!

One thing you might try is measuring too. I went in for a six month research appt. and they did measurements. I was surprised to learn I've lost a total of 54 inches from all over. My mid-section was one of the highest with over 20 inches lost in that area alone! Keep at it and congrats on your journey thus far!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
