I haven’t hit this spot yet, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned on here, it’s that these spans of no weight loss occur. And it seems like the first one comes sometime in the first month. Don’t worry, stick to your plan, try not to feel too discouraged, and know that this (both the stall and your feelings about it) are just part of the process. Let it happen, and in time you’ll be right back at it.

I don't weigh myself anymore. I'm 7 weeks post op. I just go by the way clothes are fitting and they are falling off of me. So that's a victory. I go for my 3 month follow-up in Jan so I'll weigh at the doctors office. I can't weigh myself it will seriously screw my head seeing the scale at the same weight. After my last stall I said Nope not weight myself again. I did lose tons of weight over night after my last stall but I haven't weighed myself since. Just sticking to my fish, steak veggies and Protein Shakes working my ass off. Don't get discouraged by the stall it will pass just push through it

What are you eating. Are you weighing food ? Keeping your fluids up ? Stalls happen for no reason but just make sure everything is in check.

I am in my 5th month post operation, I have noticed that I think more about what I am eating more than I ever did before, might be why I was just a couple of pounds below 500 before my surgery, I lost 100 lbs because of the pre-surgery diet, I've now lost 150 lbs all together I am constantly amazed at my results so far, I noticed that I now have a lap, for my little dog's to sit in my lap.... It's funny, the thing's I notice about my weight loss.... lol do any of y'all have any suggestions for a good Protein Shake? I am having trouble finding one my stomach doesn't instantly refuse to allow in it .

I am 4 weeks post op too and the scales stay the same but I can feel the weight loss in my clothes!! I wouldn’t worry about it too much as many people on this forum have said to expect a stall 3 to 4 weeks post op! Good luck with it and hopefully the scales will move in our favour again!!

I really like Syntrax fuzzy navel, and vanilla bean torte. Also, optimum nutrition double rich chocolate. Those are all powders. Mix the fuzzy navel with Water. The other I like with milk. I've been considering combing fuzzy navel with vanilla bean for a sort of dreamscicle taste. Unflavored is also pretty useful. Add it to broth, Soup, mashed potatoes (watch the carbs though), milk, etc.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
