December 19th - Scheduled

Recommended Posts

Hey December sleevers,

I've been silently following BP for some time, and I just relieved my surgery date today. We're schedule for December 19th.

I look forward to going through this journey with you all, and I thank you in advance for the support that I'll need.

Ray

I’m December 19th too!

How are you all doing with the pre-op diet? I feel a little overwhelmed with it. There seems to be so many tricks and substitutes that I get a little overwhelmed. It’s almost like I just want someone to just tell me what to do. Haha. It’s hard to figure it all out.

Congrats on getting a surgery date! I wanted to shout from the roof tops when I received my approval, lol. I'm getting sleeved on December 11th. As excited as I am, I'm starting to really get nervous. Sending you all awesome thoughts and prayers for a safe surgery and easy recovery!

I was sleeved on December 19th as well. I'm in recovery now and doing well. Walked 5 laps around hospital floor. Pain is pretty tolerable. How are you all?

Doc got pulled into an emergency surgery yesterday morning and was tied up all day. My surgery got postponed to today. Getting dressed and heading to the hospital. Glad to hear you were able to get those laps in!

Silly bladder wouldn't wake up and collected about 600 MLs of urine. Had to have my first straight catheter to get the pump going. Pretty sure I saw Jesus and almost ripped the RNs arm off. I did apologize though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
