Depression after lap band removed

Recommended Posts

hello. My name is Mia. My lap band was placed in 2011 at 245lbs. and removed 2016 at 135lbs. Had been doing great by prior no blood pressure pills and no thyroid meds. Feeling and looking my best. 2016 my father past away and was under a lot of stress more than just normal in life then i started throwing up blood and was sent to original hospital that did my surgery then sent to another were it was removed. I was told it had to come out but when I got the doctors notes there wasn’t any erosion but rotation so why didn’t. The doctor choose to reposition????? I’m so disappointed that I was more direct with my questions instead of just following what he said i should have gotten a second opinion but believed he had to do it why wouldn’t he have offered me the opportunity of having him reposition it . Topped off - my insurance didn’t pay for a thing because it wasn’t a “medically necessary” surgery well that’s not what that doctor told me. Now I’m told I have heart failure where I didn’t before the removal. It was only a problem just after my lap band removal. ADVISE?

i need your thoughts of hope and advice on what to do

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
