Waiting Game

Recommended Posts

So I am still playing the waiting game. Just got Pre-Approved from insurance for surgery. My Dr. originally told me it would be in December. But the nurse thinks it more realistically will be in January now. All hoops have been jumped through and now I sit and wait! I am not the worlds most patient person, but I am working on it. This process has been pretty long but I am ready! So I am playing the hurry up & wait game!

I know that's right.... Hurry up and wait... I thought I was going to be able to have surgery in January but my first three months of Physician Supervised Weight Loss out of six months didn't count because my doctor didn't code the appointment correctly so I did actually started till October 30th.. so my surgery won't be until May sometime

Its hard waiting!! I'm waiting, too, started in August, surgery date is in March. I decided to use the next 12 weeks to lose 12 pounds as a goal, counting calories and using a 40% - 40% - 20% macro plan. At least this way I feel like I'm moving forward.

So they called today and I have to meet with the surgeon on Monday. I will be scheduled then. The nurse once again thinks it will be in January. Not much longer! Yay!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
