January/February 2018 Sleevers

Anyone out there in the progress of getting approved and getting a date? I'm aiming for a January date but would not be surprised if it ends up February. Anyone else out there?

Are you having yours done in Mexico? I’m having mine with Dr. Illan.

No, I'm not. I didn't even research surgery in Mexico until I had finished my requirements and had a date scheduled.

Having mine done in Allentown,Pa. My insurance doesn’t pay a dime. I’m using every cent of my savings on this. Ugh!!!!

I had to pay mine out of pocket too. My insurance doesn’t cover anything to do with weight loss

I need to say that to myself more often. My last weigh in is next week. Then I begin the liquid diet. I’m a huge Diet Coke drinker. Today was my first day with out any soda. I thought it would be best to get off it now. Needless to say I was so miserable all day. No energy etc. I’m dreading the liquid diet and I pray I can get through it.

I was addicted to sparkling water. As soon as I decided to get the surgery I quit cold turkey. It was hard at first but I’m doing okay. You will too. Take it one day at a time. I have eleven days until my surgery.

yea, I've been saving for a couple of years to pay for my surgery. it hurts to wipe out my bank account like that, but I know it'll be worth it.

It does indeed hurt to wipe out the bank account. Lol. It will indeed be worth it.

I’m glad to hear someone else went thru the struggle and survived. Are you on the liquid diet now?

What’s your surgery date?

How are you making out with the pre op Diet? My surgery is February 6

I’m doing okay right now. Day for and I’m finding it hard to drink the last protein shake of the day. I got the Baritastic app. It’s pretty helpful with timing and reminders
