Tired of the stall

I'm a little stressed out because my doctor says I need to loose 20 lbs by 12/7. I was sleeved 10/8. Smh. Stupid PCOS is messing me up. I've been at 209 for 3 weeks. Smh,

Just blowing off steam.

I'm with you. Currently in a stall as well, known as the dreaded "3rd week stall." I was sleeved 10/16. Things are still changing as clothes are fitting differently. I'm sticking to the plan and know that one day (hopefully very soon), the stall will break and the scale will move in the direction we all expect it to. Stay the course and believe.

Thanks for the encouragement. I will stay the course. Are you able to eat salad? Or are you just doing protein shakes and broth?

Thanks @arringtonc49 for the advice. I'm getting the recommended water and protein, and will increase my exercise to see if we can break it!

Increase water and protein and exercise. It will help break stall.
Whenever I did this I notice it broke stall.
I am 8 months post op and at my goal or really below my goal weight.
I have lost 97 lbs.

Yeah, stalls suck. Don't worry about it though. If you are sticking to your plan, you will break it pretty soon. Normally, I have accelerated weight loss for a least a week afterward. I lost nothing on week three, then five or six pounds on week four. Same thing happened at week seven after a stall at week six, and is happening this week after a stall on week eleven.

I haven't stalled for more than a week so far. At the end of a stall week, I try to increase my protein and calories a bit. I still exercise, but take it down a notch. I think that this combination helps me to break them. I will tell you what a bodybuilder that i know told me not too long ago. If you want to lean up and keep your metabolism revved up, you must consume more calories one day per week if you are restricting your calories. He thinks that this keeps your body from going into starvation mode. I agree, although more calories for me might be only 1-200 more calories. At around 1,000 calories, it is hard to think that you are breaking out of that. It seems to work though.

As a side note, it also sucks to have your doctor placing a weight loss goal on you like that. It seems that he/she might be setting you up to fail. I had surgery in Mexico, and never had to worry about someone telling me how much I should have lost at any period of time. I guess that is how it might be done here in the states though. I say this, because I read every day how people here feel as though they aren't losing fast enough. They are discouraged. I tell them that everyone is different, and they will lose at their own pace. Everyone tells them that. Now, I see why people might worry.

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully, you will be on the other side of this stall really soon.

It happens. The stalls suck but they pass. I had to increase my calorie intake by 100 calories and continue to exercising but increasing the intensity.

I was fluctuating between 196 and 194 for 1 month. This month already I am down to 192.

I currently intake 1,000 calories a day with an additional 100 - 200 calories on HIIT and weight lifting days.

I had surgery 10/16 also, in the third week stall myself. It's crazy how wright was falling off; now just stuck!

I am 6 weeks out and I stalled at the 3rd and 4th week. I was flipping out! However, during the 5th week I lost 10 lbs and this last week I've lost 12. It's craziness I tell you. Yesterday alone I lost 4 lbs, but think it was water weight seeing how I was a little swollen. I also agree with an above post about having a higher calorie day. It keeps your body from getting used to the same thing day in and day out. When I used to do Weight watchers I would have a high point day and it would help with stalls.

Thank you! I did feel discouraged after he told me to lose the weight by 12/7. My body is different. I lost 30lbs the first 6 weeks and barely anything else going into my second 6 weeks. Smh

Three and a half months out now, just having my first stall. I lost weight (only a couple ounces sometimes) basically every day til 2 weeks ago. Very very slow weight loss, only 22 lbs lost since the day of surgery. But steady.

then I had a procedure unrelated to this and wasn’t allowed to exercise for a week. I think that was part of the stall. I even gained a Lb that week. This last week I have lost back down to almost less than the stall so I hope it’s ending. I was 169-170 all week and now exactly 169.0 this morning. And back to exercise, and really focused on getting my protein.

i was lucky to not stall til now tho.
