17lbs down.......

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to share my excitement with all of you who are pre-op. I am down 17lbs in just 10 days after surgery (this does not include any weight loss prior to surgery because I didn't have a weight loss because I was not required to diet prior to surgery). YOU CAN DO THIS!!! All the pain and the hunger and the worry, it's ALL WORTH IT!!!!!!! Keep striving towards your goal, we can all get there and this surgery is the way to do that!!!!

How wonderful!!!! I'm so glad you posted. I am in the "is it really worth it phase" of the pre-op diet. Love reading such positivity.

Fantastic. I am almost 5 days post-op and am down 10 pounds from my last weight in 7 days ago. I still wonder if it is worth it when I am smelling delicious food that I am unable to eat. I know it will be worth it in the long run but let's face it, it took years of eating poorly for me to get into a situation that requires surgery to fix. I'm not going to magically stop thinking about food overnight. It's going to take tough love and a complete reprogramming of my mind. One day at a time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
