Hi, I’m scared as hell to share this but here I go. I’m very sensitive so please no nasty comments... I am scheduled for gastric bypass dec. 5th, my husband and I have two children already, I found out I was pregnant and am having a abortion. Nov. 11th. I’m afraid my hcg levels will not be 0 when I go in for surgery. And then not have the surgery. I’m afraid to tell my doctor but I think it is a must when I go in for my pre op with my PCP. Just in case when they do test my levels are still present. I’m very early 5weeks at most. I have not been on BC because of bloodclots with surgery so I have been watching my cycles and the last month I must have ovulated very late. Like 5 days before my missed period. This is not a easy choice but with my weight and to carry another baby would be dangerous and high risk. My husband is having a vasectomy soon. Has this happened to anyone?

I had a small hemorrhage, which they said was normal, and did the procedure. Everyone was so kind and it went well. I’m feeling relieved this is over and now I can focus on my up coming surgery. Thank all you ladies for your support

Thank u so much for checking in on me! It warmed my heart! I had gastric bypass dec.5th I down 70lbs since then. I also started a new job in the medical world which I love! So I’m so happy. I think I would like to make a photo collage of my progress. I would love to see others as well! Thank u for checking on me.

hello!! I was wondering if you told your surgeon? and if so, did they test for the HCG as well? I'm in the same situation now. Except, I'm having an abortion on tuesday and the surgery is scheduled for June 15th.

You did what was needed, and if in this situation you are at peace who am I to argue?
That is something I respect,about Pope Francis, bet you didn't think he Would get mentioned here. But he has told qustioners on many subjects he will not,judge them, that is a job he is willing to leave to God. In the last week or so he told a homosexual man he is living as God created him. And to me that shows a more Christ-like attitude than others in the past have shown.?

Hollymarie36 yes I told my surgeon, and on my surgery date my test was negative. I had gastric bypass and it’s been 6 months since surgery and I’m doing great! Down 91 pounds!

Everyone has been so amazing and supportive, I’m sorry it has taken me so long to respond my life after surgery has changed for the better! I am working full time and so active and happy! Hollymarie36 update me please on how you are doing, I am sorry you are having to go thru this, it is a extremely emotional process I and my husband have decided he will get a vasectomy this month since we would hate to have to go thru something like that again. I have many friends who got pregnant at the same time and are half way thru the pregnancy now and it is a reminder but I know we made the best choice we could.
