I still have mine and it feels pretty much the same. The biggest issue I have now is that I have to keep adjusting my headgear since my face is no longer as full as it once was.

I stopped using mine after losing 30 lbs. But I was what they consider low BMI of 38. I tried sleeping without it a couple nights and my husband said he had to poke me to make sure I wasn't dead b/c he said I wasn't making any noise or moving. Lol. But my sleep apnea was diagnosed at mild and I was only at a pressure of 9. Should definitely speak with your sleep doctor. Good luck!

I was diagnosed w/ moderate sleep apnea a couple of years ago. Have been on CPAP therapy since then. My weight when I started using it was around 330 pounds. I'm post op 11 months, weigh 200 pounds and need to lose 30-40 more. I still wear the full face mask. Once every couple of months or so, I get really tired early in the evening and fall asleep without my mask on. The last time that happened was a few weeks ago. My husband told me the next morning that I was snoring really bad. That makes think I still need CPAP therapy. Guess I won't know for awhile, not planning on spending money on another sleep study anytime soon.

Personally, I think therapy should continue after surgery until it's proven that sleep apnea is no longer an issue. Better safe than sorry.

I've lost 50 pounds so far and still use it and assume I will for quite a while. It feels the same. I have just the nasal pillow so there isn't even anything to adjust. I almost cannot imagine sleeping without it.

I am 4 weeks out from surgery, and down a total of 62 lbs. I still use my mask, and intend to push back a new sleep study as far back as I can convince my pulmonologist.

I like using my cpap machine.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
