Did month 1 pre-op visits in March '17. Stalled due to non supportive husband and I lost my job.

Straightened his attitude, got a new job, and now I'm back in the saddle.

Up until my pregnancy at age 26, my weight was at 100 to 110. I'd been a noodle my entire life. Weightlifting brought me up to 110 lbs and dropped me from a size 4 to a size 0.

Pregnancy- not the beautiful experience everyone dreams of. Gained 80 lbs, 6 weeks bed rest before delivery. Terrible acne, 36 hour labor (pelvis too narrow). Horrible.

My amazing son is 17 and I still look like I'm pregnant with twins, one of them is apparently gestating in my chin. I am at an all time high of 230, recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetes, and sleep apnea. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 10 years ago.

This, my beautiful partners in the journey, is how mine came to be.

Do it for you. Your life is worth fighting for, once you move forward others see you success finally shut up and start cheering you on. This has been my experience. I’m so happy that I’m off all meds, and even the sleep apnea is better then it was before. I’ve lost 135 lbs in 10months. I’m loving life and the confidence I have. It’s is a lot of hard work and the surgery is not an easy fix but it is a tool to get on a healthy lifestyle. I wish you the best.

Thank you all so much! I'm learning a ton from this group. I think the most helpful piece of advice that I have learned is to look at how far you've come, not how far you have to go.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
