Liver reduction diet protein shake

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I had a group meeting recently with the dietitian at my doctors office to discuss the liver reduction diet. The dietitian made the suggestion to add a teaspoon of sugar free pudding to the shake to add more flavor. I must say this is the answer to making these shakes decent. So far I got chocolate, vanilla, banana cream and lemon pudding for my shakes.

Just thought I would share this for those who are struggling with Protein Shakes because they are generally not very good. I know when I first tried the shakes all the flavors tasted the same.

Now I finally have the answer and feel way more prepared to start the liver reduction diet this Saturday!

That's a great trick, I haven't done that in ages.

Da Vinci also makes some good sugar free syrups you can add to your shakes for some variety (as sugar free pudding only comes in a handful, da Vinci has like 60+ flavors)

Another option is to just make sugar free Protein pudding, which is basically the exact same ingredients (assuming you're using milk) just now you can eat it.

I use Torani sugar free syrups. My fave is to make a frappucino - 1 cup cold coffee, scoop of vanilla Protein Powder, chocolate and caramel sugar free Syrup. Ice. Blend.

Another is to use chocolate Protein powder, 1 scoop of PB2, a shot of caramel sugar free syrup and Water. Add ice, blend. Snickers shake.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
