Davis Clinic in Houston

Recommended Posts

I had my initial consultation today with Dr. Davis, of the Davis Clinic here in Houston. I have a BMI of 39.6, 237 lbs at 5'5, and he's suggesting the Sleeve would be the best option for me. Anyone ever been to the Davis Clinic and had a Sleeve, and if so, how well are you doing with it?

I didn't go to the Davis clinic, but I had the sleeve. I was 41 bmi, and insurance required a 6 month supervised diet. At the end of the diet I was 36.5 going into surgery. I'm 2 months postop down 30lbs, and feeling great.

How's your intake been, are there times you can't keep food down or experience pains after eating or drinking??

Intake varies depending on the type of food I eat, but generally about 3oz. No pains eating or drinking. I've always keep food down, but I make sure when I'm full I stop eating.

I’m glad when I hear people are doing well, I’m always afraid I’ll be that one rare person who has a failed sleeve surgery [emoji33]

That is how I feel, like the VSG will work for others but not me. I had surgery 10/03 lost 26.4 lbs and still feel like I'm terrified of failing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
