I am not supposed due to my IUD, but I think the pre op diet's super low calories made my body FREAK OUT & I was for a few days. Thankfully it ended because I was worried about this too.

- No idea what I'm doing but I'm here! :)

I stayed on the pill leading up to surgery. So, i was 2 to 3 weeks post op for my first post surgery cycle which was very light.
Second one was incredibly heavy and lasted 9 days.
Third one has been light but I'm now on day 20! I'm still taking the pill but it doesn't seem to do anything. My surgeon said that is normal as the weight loss changes hormones and throw off our cycles for the first year or so.

Oh no! I know that gaining and loosing wait can definitely mess with your cycle. However, i did not think about my lady friend!!!!! I had very crazy cycles when I was younger. Sometimes it would last 3 weeks others times i wouldn't have it for 3 months. I'm not looking forward to experiencing that again.

I asked my surgeon because I'm due to get my monthly the same day as surgery 9/25. He said that doesn't stop the surgery, I asked him if I should reschedule and he said absolutely not. He said they give you like paper panties and a pad, and you'll be fine, no tampons. Hope this helps

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
