What will work for 6 month diet?

Recommended Posts

I am wanting to have the lap-band surgury. What info does my insurance need to approve this? I see my doc. every 3 months and she is always on my butt about losing, but not really been on a "counceled" diet. Would this be good for BCBS insurance?

Probably not. I can't speak specifically to BCBS, but most insurance companies are looking for 6 months of supervised doctor's visits for the sole purpose of monitoring weightloss. This means you go, and your diagnosis is obesity - not back pain or flu or what have you, and you happened to get weighed while you were there.

The insurance companies will check the treatment codes. There's not really a way around this one.

Oh, they also won't (usually) count things like Weight Watchers as a supervised weightloss attempt, even though it's supervised, because it isn't medically supervised. For this to count, you would have had to go to your doctor's in conjunction with the weightloss plan, because the insurance company is still looking for those obesity procedure codes...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
